Peoria, Ill. - Bradley University forced 20 turnovers and held the Lewis University men's basketball team to a 33.9% (20-for-59) shooting performance, as the host Braves earned the 71-58 charity exhibition contest victory over the Flyers at the Renaissance Coliseum on Thursday (Oct. 26).
All proceeds from the event will be donated to The Salvation Army, which will directly benefit victims of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.
Lewis sophomores
Jake Reinhart (Bloomington, Ill./Central Catholic) and
Anthony D'Avanzo (Harwood Heights, Ill./Notre Dame) each scored a team-best 10 points, while senior forward
Cristen Wilson (Cleveland, Ohio/John Hay) collected a game-high 12 rebounds for the Flyers. Lewis outrebounded Bradley, 48-34.
Lewis returns to action on Saturday (Oct. 28), as they head to Rogers Park for a 7 PM exhibition meeting with Loyola.
