Chicago, Ill. - Loyola University used a 20-9 run in the second half and shot 91.7% (22-for-24) from the free throw line to secure the 79-63 exhibition victory over the Lewis University men's basketball team at Gentile Arena on Saturday (Oct. 28).
Lewis senior forward
Nick Norton (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) topped the Flyers with 15 points, including three trifectas, and five rebounds.
The Flyers also received 11 points from junior center
Frank Vukaj (Davison, Mich./Davison), while junior forward
Delaney Blaylock (Wyoming, Mich./Godwin Heights) narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
Lewis shot 39.7% (25-for-63) from the field, while the Ramblers knocked down 48.1% (26-for-54) of their attempts. The Flyers turned the ball over 16 times, leading to 17 Loyola points.
The Flyers conclude the exhibition campaign on November 5th, as they head to Normal, Ill., for a 2 PM showdown with Illinois State.
