Rosemont, Ill. - Wayne State pitcher and 2016 National Player of the Year Lyndsay Butler twirled a complete-game, two-hit shutout and struck out nine batters as the Warriors earned the 8-0 (6 inn.) regional win over the Lewis University softball team in second day action of the Lewis Dome Invitational at The Dome at the Ballpark on Saturday (Feb. 25) afternoon.

Carolyn Nojiri (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) were the only Flyers to reach base against Butler with a pair of singles.
With the win, Wayne State improves to 6-3 on the season, while Lewis falls to 2-2 on the campaign.

Paige Fossey (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) took the loss for the Flyers. Fossey (1-1) allowed seven runs - five earned - and six hits in 4.1 innings of work, while fanning two.
Lewis wraps up the Dome Invitational on Sunday (Feb. 26) with a 9 AM showdown with Lindenwood.
