Clermont, Fla. - Grand Valley State second baseman Jenna Lenza hit a two-out, walk-off solo home run off Lewis pitcher Paige Fossey (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) as the Lakers defeated the Flyer softball team, 3-2, on Friday (March 10).

Fossey (1-4) allowed three runs - two earned - and six hits, while striking out four in 6.2 innings of work. 

With the win, Grand Valley State improves to 6-8 on the campaign while the Flyers fall to 10-5.

Lewis junior designated player Sarah DeMasi (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) topped the Flyers offensively, as she went 2-for-4 and drove in a run.

Lewis returns to action on Saturday (March 11), as the Flyers take on both Northern State (8 AM ET) and Cedarville (10 AM ET).
