Clermont, Fla. - Lewis University's
Kaylee Prieto (Chicago, Ill./Marist) and
Emily Guske (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) combined for eight RBI, four runs and four hits as the Flyer softball team cruised to the 13-4 (5 inn.) regional win over Ferris State on Monday (March 6).
Prieto was 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs scored, a pair of doubles and a triple, while Guske plated three runs in the Flyer win.
Lewis also received two hits apiece from senior center fielder
Carolyn Nojiri (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) and sophomore first baseman
Carley Maupin (Peotone, Ill./Peotone). Both scored a run, while Maupin added a RBI.
With the win, Lewis improves to 6-3 on the season, while Ferris State drops to 2-8 on the campaign.

Taylor Boelte (Rockton, Ill./Hononegah) earned her first career win in relief for the Flyers. Boelte (1-0) tossed three innings of scoreless relief, while allowing two hits and striking out one.
Lewis returns to action on Tuesday (March 7) with contests against both Cedarville (1 PM ET) and St. Cloud State (6 PM ET).
