Daytona Beach, Fla. - Lewis University women's tennis took on Embry-Riddle Daytona but fell one match short, losing 5-4 Tuesday (March 7).

For Lewis, the pair of Dora Andrejszki (Budapest, Hungary/Dozsa Gyorgy) and Nora Mindiyarova (Moscow, Russia/Gimnasium 1577) defeated Maud Mrad and Alexis Marshall in No. 1 doubles 8-3.

Andrejszki also won in singles 6-1, 6-2 against Mrad in No. 1. Mindiyarova defeated Georgina Wood in No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-1. Oana Trus also picked up a victory against Maria Turrillo in No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-0.

With the loss the Flyers now sit at 5-3, while the Eagles move to 2-6.

Lewis will face off against Lynn University Wednesday (March 8) in Daytona, Fla. at 12 PM ET.
