Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University baseball team connected for five home runs, including a walk-off blast by junior third baseman
Trayvon Johnson (Berkeley, Ill. /St. Joseph's) in Game Two, as the Flyers earned the 16-5, 8-7 non-conference doubleheader sweep over No. 24/25 Quincy University at Brennan Field on Tuesday (Apr. 18).
With the sweep, Lewis improves to 10-27, while the visiting Hawks drop to 23-14 on the campaign.
Lewis returns to action on Saturday (Apr. 22), as the Flyers welcome Southern Indiana for a 12 PM doubleheader at Brennan Field.

All nine Lewis batters recorded at least one hit and scored a run, while eight different Flyers had at least one RBI in the 16-5 win over the Hawks.

Connor Rutherford (DePere, Wis./DePere) and freshman catcher
Anthony Rios (Lemont, Ill. /St. Laurence) batted a combined 4-for-7 with eight RBI, four runs and two home runs.
Rutherford was 2-for-4 with five RBI and two runs scored, while Rios was 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Both connected for three-run blasts.

Brandon Collins (Tinley Park, Ill./Lincoln Way North) went 3-for-4 with four runs scored and a RBI, while first baseman
Kenny King (Orland Park, Ill./Providence ) and junior designated hitter
Ethan Bloom (Schaumburg, Ill./Hoffman Estates) each had two hits and a RBI.
Lewis starting pitcher
Jake Herron (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) earned the win for the Flyers, tossing three scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out a batter.

Nick Davito (Crest Hill, Ill./Lockport) pitched a scoreless seventh to earn his first win of the season.
Johnson was not the only homer of the game for the Flyers, as both King and junior shortstop
Sam Cybulski (Clarendon Hills, Ill./Lyons Township) went deep. King hit a three-run homer in the third inning, while Cybulski (2-for-3, 3 RBI) hit a go-ahead two run shot in the sixth.
