Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University softball team lost a pair of nail biters to No. 14 ranked University of Indianapolis, as the visiting Greyhounds claimed the 1-0, 5-4 Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader sweep over the Flyers at Lewis Softball Field on Sunday (Apr. 2).
With the sweep, UIndy improves to 28-8 overall and 9-3 in GLVC action, while the Flyers fall to 19-14 on the campaign and 7-5 in conference play.
Lewis returns to action on Tuesday (April 4), as the Flyers welcome UW-Parkside to Lewis Softball Field for a 1 PM twinbill.

UIndy infielder Katie Kelly drove in the lone run of the game with a RBI single in the fifth inning, as the Greyhounds garnered the 1-0 win over the Flyers in game one.

Lewis' rally from a four-run deficit fell short, as UIndy relief pitcher Lauren Honkomp closed the door on a bases-loaded rally by the Flyers in the seventh inning, securing the 5-4 win for the Greyhounds.

Jaworski went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, while DeMasi went 2-for-4, including a solo home run.
