Fort Wayne, Ind. - The No. 7 Lewis University men's volleyball team ended the regular-season on a high note as the Flyers cruised to their fifth-straight win with the 25-13, 26-24, 25-16 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association sweep over Fort Wayne at the Gates Sports Center on Saturday (Apr. 8).
Lewis recorded a season-high hitting percentage of .500 (46 kills, 9 errors, 74 attacks) in the win. That is the highest hitting percentage by a Flyer team since they hit .524 (39-6-63) against Lindenwood on April 10, 2015.
With the win, Lewis improves to 22-6 overall and 13-3 in MIVA play, while the Mastodons end the 2017 campaign with a record of 5-23 on the season and 2-14 in conference action.

Mitch Perinar (Channahon, Ill./Minooka) and redshirt freshman
Ryan Coenen (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) combined for more kills (28) than Fort Wayne totaled as a team (24).
Perinar recorded 15 kills and hit .591 (15 kills, 2 errors, 22 attacks), while Coenen had 13 putaways and hit .476 (13-3-21). Coenen, along with redshirt sophomore libero

John Hodul (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) had a match-high six block assists.
Lewis has clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming MIVA Volleyball Tournament and will host a yet-to-be determined opponent at 7 PM on Saturday (Apr. 15) at Neil Carey Arena.
