Day One Results

Grand Rapids, Mich. - Lewis University men's tennis completed the first day three at the ITA Regional Tournament Friday (Sept. 15).

Alan Braschinsky (Tallinn, Estonia/Milna Harma) was seeded at eighth to start the tournament in A Singles. He defeated Walsh's Filipp Kulynych 6-3, 6-2, and then went on to defeat Tommy Martinez of Illinois Springfield 6-3, 6-3.

Also playing in A Singles was Oskar Lusti (Tallinn, Estonia) who beat Samuel Kiladejo from Southern Indiana 6-4, 6-3. Lusti went on to lose to seventh seeded Mats Westkamp from Wayne State 6-3, 6-4.

In B Singles, Chandler Stimpert (Graceland, Ill./Morton) lost to Daniel Kellenbenz of Wayne State 6-0, 5-7, (8).

The Lewis pair of Braschinsky and Lusti were seeded third in A Doubles defeating Austin DeBruyne and Mathis Guerre of Ferris State 8-4. They then defeated Kristoffer Lindal and Martinez from Missouri St. Louis 8-4.
