Romeoville, Ill. - Maryville University sophomore forward Helmut Florencia scored the game-winning goal in the 109th minute to help the No. 19 Saints complete the rally and earn the 2-1 (2 OT) Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over the Lewis University men's soccer team at Lewis Stadium on Sunday (Sept. 17).
Florencia also assisted on the game-tying goal by Maryville sophomore forward Pontus Gitselov at the 77:23 mark.
With the win, Maryville improves to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in GLVC action, while the Flyers fall to 3-3 on the campaign and 2-2 in conference play.

Nico Mueller (Braunschweig, Germany/Raabeschule Braunschweig) posted his third goal in as many games, finding the back of the net at the 3:26 mark. Lewis redshirt senior
Devon Amoo-Mensah (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) assisted on the play.
Flyer goalkeeper
Philip Huang (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) stopped a career-high nine Maryville shots in the loss.
Maryville outshot Lewis, 20-10, including an 11-5 advantage in shots on goal.
Lewis returns to action on Friday (Sept. 22), as the Flyers head to St. Louis for a 7:30 PM showdown with Missouri-St. Louis
