Cedarville, Ohio - Cedarville University freshman midfielder Sophia Norden scored in the 40th minute to help the host Yellow Jackets to the 1-0 regional victory over Lewis University in the Flyers' season-opener on Saturday (Sept. 2) evening.

With the win, Cedarville improves to 2-0 on the campaign, while the Flyers fall to 0-1.

Lewis outshot the Yellow Jackets, 15-10 and held a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal. Lewis senior midfielder Mackenzie Fuller (Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) accounted for six of those shots, including three on frame.

Lewis senior goalkeeper Jennifer Meyer (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport) stopped one shot in the loss.

Lewis returns to action on Monday (Sept 4), as the Flyers continue their trip through Ohio with a 1 PM ET kickoff against Tiffin.
