No. 24 McKendree Earns 4-0 Win Over Lewis Women's Soccer

2016 GLVC Player of the Year Sydnee Carroll scores twice for Bearcats.

Lebanon, Ill. - McKendree University junior forward Sydnee Carroll - the 2016 Great Lakes Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Year - scored twice and propelled the No. 24 Bearcats to the 4-0 GLVC victory over Lewis University at Leemon Field on Sunday (Sept. 24).

McK also received scores from Grace Neidhart and Alynnah O'Leary.

With the win, McKendree improves to 6-0-1 overall and 4-0-1 in GLVC action, while the Flyers fall to 4-4 on the campaign and 3-3 in conference play.

McKendree outshot Lewis, 15-8, including a 10-6 advantage in shots on goal. Flyer sophomore defender Karlie Cummins (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington) accounted for two of those shots, including one on frame.

Lewis returns to action on Friday (Sept. 29), as the Flyers host Southern Indiana for Alumni and Cornerstone Night. Kickoff is set for 5 PM.
