Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University men's soccer team won its third-straight match and fifth out of its last six with the 2-1 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over Southern Indiana at Lewis Stadium on Friday (Sept. 29).
The Flyers received unassisted scores from sophomores
Claude Kameni (Berlin, Germany/OSZ Gesundheit) and
Timm Adler (Frankenthal Rheinland-Pfalz Germany/Karolinen-Gymnasium Frankenthal).
Kameni found the back of the net just 124 seconds into the contest, while Adler broke a 1-all tie with a free kick conversion from outside the box in the 82nd minute.
With the win, Lewis improves to 6-3 overall and 5-2 in conference play, while the Screaming Eagles fall to 3-5 on the campaign and 1-5 in GLVC action.
Southern Indiana outshot Lewis, 19-8, but the Flyers held a 7-6 advantage in shots on goal.

Philip Huang (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) stopped five shots to earn the victory for the Flyers.
Lewis returns to action on Sunday (Oct. 1), as the Flyers welcome Bellarmine for a 2:30 PM kickoff at Lewis Stadium.
