Fayette, Iowa - Upper Iowa senior forward Ruaridh Crawford scored the game's lone goal in the 26th minute as the host Peacocks claimed the 1-0 regional victory over the Lewis University men's soccer team at Pattison Field on Sunday (Sept. 3).

With the win, Upper Iowa improves to 2-0, while the Flyers drop to 1-1 on the campaign.

Lewis outshot Upper Iowa, 10-9, while the Peacocks held a 4-2 advantage over the Flyers in shots on goal. Lewis sophomore midfielder Timm Adler (Frankenthal Rheinland-Pfalz Germany/Karolinen-Gymnasium Frankenthal) had three shots, including one on frame for the Flyers.

Lewis senior goalkeeper Philip Huang (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) made three saves for the Flyers.

Lewis opens Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Friday (Sept. 8), as the Flyers travel to Kansas City for a showdown with No. 3 Rockhurst. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.
