Denver, Colo. - The No. 3 Lewis University women's volleyball team's bid for revenge fell short as 2016 NCAA Final Four opponent and top-ranked Concordia-St. Paul earned the 17-25, 25-22, 25-11, 25-18 victory over the Flyers at the Colorado Premier Challenge, hosted by Metro State, at the Auraria Event Center on Friday (Sept. 8).
Lewis redshirt senior right side 
Maddie Seliga (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall) and sophomore outside hitter 
Alexandra Preuss (Elmhurst, Ill./York) each notched double-doubles for the Flyers. Seliga had a team-best 13 kills and a team-best 15 digs, while Preuss had 10 kills and 10 digs.
With the win, Concordia-St. Paul improves to 6-0 on the campaign, while the Flyers drop to 5-1 on the campaign.
Lewis redshirt junior setter 
Abby Becker (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) had a team-best 34 assists, while sophomore libero 
Ronni Katarzynski (Winfield, Ill./West Chicago) matched Seliga's team-high of 15 digs.
Lewis hit a season-low .063 (43 kills, 34 errors, 142 attacks) against the Golden Bears.
Lewis returns to action at 11:30 AM MT on Saturday (Sept. 9), as the Flyers take on Metro State at Regis University.
