Kayla Brewer (Milwaukee, Wis./Milwaukee School of Languages) tallied three steals and Morgan Glatczak (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) blocked four shots.

The Flyers (10-4, 3-1 GLVC) outrebounded the Prairie Stars (8-3, 2-1) 47-34 for the game.

The Lewis defense had eight steals and six blocks, while limiting UIS to 33.3 percent shooting (20-for-60).

Meanwhile, Lewis shot 30-for-61 (49.2%) from the floor.

The Flyers never trailed in the game, scoring the first six points of the game and led 24-14 after the first quarter.

The lead grew to as many as 19 points in the second quarter before the Flyers took a 42-25 lead at the break.

Lewis maintained a double digit lead throughout the third quarter and led 61-42 heading into the fourth.

UIS got to within 12 points at 67-55 with 5:56 left in the game, but five straight points from Kelliher put the game away.

Lewis moves to 5-0 on the season at home, but will be back on the road Saturday (Jan. 4) when it travels to Truman State for a 1 PM tip.
