Final Results

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Lewis University women's tennis team completed its trip to Missouri with a 6-3 win over Northwest Missouri Monday (Feb. 26) at Cooper Tennis Complex.

The win moves the Flyers to 4-2 on the year, while Northwest Missouri drops to 0-1.

All four competitors went 2-0 on the day for the Flyers. In doubles, Dora Andrejszki (Budapest, Hungary/Dozsa Gyorgy) and Oana Carmen Trus (Sighetu Marmatiei, Romania/Regele Ferdinand) beat Luiza Souza and Sara Grozdanovic 8-3 at No. 1 doubles, while the No. 2 doubles team of Nora Mindiyarova (Moscow, Russia/Gimnasium 1577) and Simone Parn (Parnu, Estonia) beat Tess Lovig and Marta Ferrando 8-3.

In singles, Andrejszki topped Tania Teruel 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 at the No. 1 spot. Mindiyarova beat Irene Recuenco at No. 2 singles 7-6 (7-3), 6-0, Trus beat Lovig 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 and Parn beat Julie Rinderknech 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4.

The Flyers return to action March 7 when they travel to Daytona Beach, Fla. To take on Embry-Riddle University at 3:30 PM ET.
