PLAINFIELD, Ill. - The Lewis University men's tennis team defeated Tiffin 7-2 Saturday (March 17) in a nonconference match at Five Star Tennis Complex.
The win moves the Flyers back to .500 at 5-5, while Tiffin falls to 7-7.
In doubles, the Flyers took two of three matches. The No. 1 doubles team of 
Alan Braschinsky (Tallinn, Estonia/Milna Harma) and 
Oskar Lusti (Tallinn, Estonia) defeated Luis Ludena and Elio Lezama Perez 9-8, while 
Brendan Peterson (Elmhurst, Ill./York) and 
Chandler Stimpert (Graceland, Ill./Morton) took down Tory Cutting and Tom Arias 9-7 at No. 3 doubles. The No. 2 doubles team of 
Anton Levitin (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Buffalo Grove) and 
Andre Norasith (Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) fell to Nikita Parfenov and Sorin Navrotchi 8-5.
Lewis took five of six matches in singles, as Braschinsky topped Ludena at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-2. Lusti earned a 6-2, 6-4 win over Santiago De La Rosa Mora at No. 2 singles, while Norasith won 6-0, 6-4 over Parfenov at No. 3 singles. Levitin won 7-5, 7-5 at No. 4 singles over Perez and Peterson won 6-4, 7-6 (7-1) over Navrotchi at No. 6 singles.Stimpert fell 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 10-7 at No. 5 singles.
The Flyers are back in action Sunday morning at Five Star when they take on Wayne State at 9:45 a.m.
