LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Lewis University men's tennis team bounced back to beat Bellarmine 8-1 Saturday (April 7) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match at Advantage Tennis and Fitness.

The win moves the Flyers to 8-9 on the year, 2-1 in the GLVC, while the Knights fall to 2-13, 0-3 in GLVC.

Lewis swept the doubles competition, losing just 10 games in the three matches. The No. 1 doubles team of
Alan Braschinsky (Tallinn, Estonia/Milna Harma) and
Oskar Lusti (Tallinn, Estonia) took down Sam Rueff and Matthew Momper 8-2. At No. 2 doubles
Andre Norasith (Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) and
Anton Levitin (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Buffalo Grove) beat Alex Swords and Nick Johnson 8-4, while
Brendan Peterson (Elmhurst, Ill./York) and Chandler Stimert beat LJ Allara and Joseph Naville 8-5 at No. 3 doubles.

In singles, Braschinsky beat Swords 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1, Lusti beat Momper 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2, Norasith defeated Johnson 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3, Levitin took down Rueff 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4 and Peterson beat Naville 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5.

The Flyers are back on the road Friday (April 13) when the travel to face McKendree at 12 p.m.
