ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Brittany Scharff (Geneva, ILL./Geneva High School) scored a pair of goals but it wasn't enough in Lewis' women's lacrosse team's loss to Northern Michigan on Sunday afternoon at Lewis Stadium. The Flyers fall to 1-5 overall and 1-4 in GLIAC play while the Wildcats improve to 3-6, 2-3 in the GLIAC.
Northern Michigan scored six times in the first 8:44 as Bianca Kinder and Ellie Bahr had two goals apiece.
Lindsey Traub (Indianapolis, IN/Bishop Chatard High School) scored her sixth goal of the season on a free position shot with 1:42 left in the opening half.
Kinder added her third goal of the half on a free position shot with 0:35 left in the half.
The Wildcats added to their lead scoring two goals in the first six-plus minutes of the second half. Schraff scored her first goal of the contest with 5:33 left in the contest and added her second nearly two minutes later.
Scharff won four draw controls and picked up two ground balls while Traub picked up three ground balls.
The Flyers return to action on Wednesday, April 10 hosting Ashland at 7 p.m.
