ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis' women's basketball team heads to St. Louis this weekend to wrap up the regular season against Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and at Lindenwood on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
Last Time Out – The Flyers withstood Southern Indiana's second half rally to pick up a 74-58 win in Evansville last Saturday afternoon. The Screaming Eagles tied the game at 45 with 9:02 left in the game but Lewis outscored USI 29-13 over the final nine minutes to secure the victory. The Flyers shot 86 percent from the field, was 5-of-5 from three and shot 77 percent at the foul line in the final 10 minutes.
Where They Stand – Heading into the final week of the regular season, Lewis is currently second in the GLVC Points Ratings System (PRS) which determines the eight participants as well as seeding for the GLVC Tournament. With two wins this week, the Flyers can clinch the number two seed in next week's GLVC Tournament.
Midwest Regional Rankings – Lewis was ranked eighth in the first set of Midwest Regional rankings which were released last Wednesday. The Flyers have made seven straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament and haven't missed the dance since the 2011-12 season.

Rachel Hinders (Johnston, Iowa/Johnston) ranks first all-time in free throw percentage at 89.1 percent, sixth in free throws made with 353, eighth in rebounds with 752 and is 12th in scoring with 1,474 points.

Morgan Glatczak (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) ranks second all-time in blocked shots with 176.

Kaitlyn Williams (Homer Glen, Ill./Joliet Catholic) ranks 12th all-time in three-point field goals made with 102 and is tied for seventh all-time with
Alexus Grayer (Washington, Ill./Washington) in three-point field goal percentage at 37.4 percent.
About Missouri-St. Louis – Alex LaPorta averages 13.2 ppg to lead the Tritons (14-13, 9-9 GLVC), who have won three of their last four after defeating William Jewell 85-83 and Rockhurst 96-83 last week. UMSL is currently ninth in the GLVC's PRS.
Series vs. Missouri-St. Louis – Lewis holds a 26-9 advantage in the series against the Tritons dating back to 1980. UMSL won the first matchup this season 71-60 in Romeoville on January 25. Thursday's contest will be the first meeting between the two schools since Jan. 16, 2016 when the Flyers came away with a 59-45 victory.
About Lindenwood – The Lions enter Thursday's contest with Illinois Springfield with a record of 16-8 overall, 12-6 in the GLVC and are fifth in the GLVC PRS. Lindenwood was ranked ninth in first set of Midwest Regional rankings last week. Kallie Bildner leads the GLVC in rebounding with 11.8 per game and is second in the league in scoring at 21.8 points per contest.
Series vs. Lindenwood – Saturday's game will be the second meeting all-time between Lewis and Lindenwood. The Flyers defeated the Lions earlier this season 86-75 on Jan. 23 in Romeoville.
