Game 1 Lewis 3 Ferris State 0
The Flyers (13-6) scored all three of their runs in the second inning.
Sara Serena (Kankakee, Ill./Kankakee) led off the inning with a double down the left field line and then advanced to third on
Elexis Swartzentruber's (Normal, Ill./Normal Community) single to left.
Katie David (Mapleton, Ill./Illini Bluffs) drove in Serena with a single to center. After a strikeout,
Meghan Bontrager (Milford, Ind./Northridge) advanced both runners with a groundout to the pitcher. Swartzentruber and David both scored on an error by the second baseman on a ball hit by
Olivia Magaldi (Mishawka, Ind./Penn).
That would be all the run support that

Lewis outhit Ferris State 7-5 in the contest and were led by Serena with two hits while Swartzentruber, David and
Cierra Taylor (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) had a hit apiece.
Game 2 St. Cloud State 5 Lewis 1
The Huskies struck first with two unearned runs in the first inning and added three more in the third to extend its lead to 5-0.
The Flyers were held hitless until Taylor doubled to center leading off the fourth. She advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on
Kristin Kavalauskas (Oak Forest, Ill./Tinley Park) groundout to short.
Lewis had two on with one out in the sixth, but the rally was thwarted by an inning ending double play.
The Flyers brought the tying run to the plate with one out in the seventh but a strikeout and a groundout to short ended the game.
Lewis was outhit in the contest 8-5 and was led by Taylor with two hits while Kavalauskas, David and Magaldi had a hit apiece.
Braylyn Burdick (Boonville, Ind./Boonville) suffered the loss allowing five runs, three earned, on six hits and a strikeout in 2.2 of work to fall to 0-2 on the season.
