Schedule Update: Flyers Game Time At Rockhurst Adjusted

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- Due to the postponement of the women's game between Lewis and Rockhurst the men's game between the Flyers and Hawks will now start at 1 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 3) instead of the original start time of 3 p.m.

Lewis (3-2), winners of three of its last four, look to bounce back from a 70-52 loss to McKendree before the Christmas break while Rockhurst enters Sunday's contest with a record of 3-3 and has dropped back-to-back contests against Missouri-St. Louis (82-77) and at Southwest Baptist (91-83).

The Flyers are led in scoring by Trevian Bell (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) who is averaging 15.0 points per game while Bruno Williams (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) is adding 11.0 points per contest. Artese Stapleton (Chicago, Ill./Kenwood) and Dre Bell (Detroit, Mich./River Rouge) are averaging 9.8 and 8.3 points per outing respectively. Atakan Sahinkaya (Istanbul, Turkey/Perkiomen School) and T. Bell lead Lewis in rebounding with 7.8 and 7.2 per contest respectively.

The Hawks have four players averaging double figures in scoring and are led by Chris Hamil at 17.0 points per contest while Curtis Lewis is contributing 16.2 points per outing and Quinton Curry and Nick Volz are contributing 11.2 and 10.0 points per contest respectively. Curry and Volz have combined for nearly 40 percent of Rockhurst's rebounding total and are averaging 7.5 and 6.2 per outing respectively.

Lewis leads the all-time series against the Hawks 12-4 and have won and have won 11 of the last 13 overall. Last season, the Flyers led by 19 at halftime only to see Rockhurst come back in the second half to take a 58-57 lead with 6:26 remaining. Lewis outscored the Hawks 21-11 over the final 6:12 to come away with a 78-69 victory. This will be the eighth meeting all-time in Kansas City with the Flyers holding a 5-2 advantage at Mason-Halpin Field House.
