BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Lewis University women's swimming team netted three event wins as the Flyers dropped a 179-72 decision at Olivet Nazarene on Sunday (Jan. 24) afternoon in Bourbonnais, Ill.
Senior
Stephanie Palczynski (Warrenville, IL/Wheaton Warrenville South High School) accounted for two of those event wins as she won the 100 back turning in a performance of 1:00.45. She returned later in the dual to win the 200 back with a time of 2:08.86.
Freshman
Larissa Alves (Panama/) won the first event of the dual for Lewis winning the 200 free turning in a performance of 1:59.93. Alves was also second in the 100 free finishing with a time of 55.58 seconds.
The Flyers are back in competition on Friday (Jan. 29) hosting Eastern Illinois. The dual starts at 6 p.m. in the Lewis Pool. Friday's meet will be Senior Night with the seniors being recognized prior to the meet.
