HILLSDALE, Mich. – Lewis University's women's swimming team fell to Findlay 159-46 and Findlay 133-95 in a tri-meet at the Jack McAvoy Natatorium on Saturday afternoon in Hillsdale, Mich. The Flyers drop to 2-6 on the season in dual meets.

Larissa Alves (Panama/),
Erin Bachmeier (Savage, Minn./Burnsville),
Cetta Senese (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) and
Daniela Navarrete (Panama City, Panama/) finished third in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:51.59 while the quartet of
Julia Lesnicki (Lemont, Ill./Lemont),
Melanie Patterson (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley),
Megan O'Brien (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic Academy) and
Rachel Marsh (Houston, Texas/Mirabeau B. Lamar) took seventh in a time of 2:00.73.
Kiara Barnes (Cape Town, South Africa/) turned in a third place performance in the 1000 free with a time of 11:12.89.
In the 200 free it was
Benita Varanauskaite (Schaumburg, Ill./Hoffman Estates), Marsh,
Meghan Bandy (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon) and
Marie Grzybek (Inverness, Ill./William Fremd) finishing sixth-ninth with times of 2:06.27, 2:07.78, 2:08.85 and 2:09.73 respectively.
Bachmeier was the top finisher for the Flyers in the 50 free with a time of 25.49 seconds to take fourth while
Aubrey Fischer (Lawrence, Kan./Lawrence) was seventh at 26.19 seconds.
Alves took second in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:12.74 which was nearly four seconds under her seed time while Senese was seventh at 2:21.44.
Senese and Fischer finished fourth and sixth respectively in the 100 fly with times of 1:01.51 and 1:03.59.
Alves was fourth in the 100 free with a time of 54.80 seconds.
Marsh, Wagner and Barnes were fifth, seventh and eighth in the 100 back with times of 1:04.72, 1:06.14 and 1:06.27 respectively.
Barnes also had a sixth place finish in the 500 free with atime of 5:31.29 while Grzybek was eighth at 5:41.63.
Bachmeier, Patterson and
Madi Heckman (Lawrence, Kan./Lawrence) were second, fifth and sixth respectively in the 100 breast. Bachmeier finished at 1:08.10, Patterson came in at 1:10.65 and Heckman at 1:11.38.
The Flyer quartet of Heckman, Navarrete, Fischer and Patterson finished second in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:44.33 while the foursome of Bandy, Varanauskaite, Grzybek and Wagner finished sixth at 1:51.18.
Lewis returns to the pool on Thursday (Nov. 18) taking part in the three-day House of Champions meet at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind.
