QUINCY, Ill. – Lewis' women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision at Quincy's Legend Stadium on Friday evening in Quincy, Ill. The Flyers fall to 1-4-1 overall and in the GLVC while the Hawks improve to 3-2-2 overall and in the conference.
Lewis scored on its first shot of the game in the 35th minute to take the lead.
Courtney Sengstock (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South) scored for her first goal of the season.
Quincy tied the game in the 61st minute as Lauren Crane scored on a free kick for her first goal of the season.
The Flyers had three chances to retake the lead but couldn't put any of those shots on goal as all three went wide.
The Hawks scored the game-winner in the 84th minute as Lexi Porchia scored for her first of the season.
Quincy outshot Lewis 6-4 in the contest and 4-1 in shots on goal.
Lucy Clark (Bristol, England/) made two saves in goal for the Flyers.
Lewis is back in action on Sunday afternoon as it travels to Kirksville, Mo., to take on Truman State at noon.
