ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- Lewis University men's soccer team defeated William Jewell 3-1, on Friday afternoon at Lewis Stadium. The Flyers move to 3-4-1 while the Cardinals drop to 2-6-1.

The Flyers were quick to start the match as Domenic Baumann (Bergheim, Germany/Brauweiler) converted on a penalty kick to put them in the 13th minute after Jimmy Mwanga (Dublin, Ireland/CBS Lucan) was taken down in the box.

Looking to double up on William Jewell, Seth Dilworth (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) attempted a shot, but it was turned away. Midway through the first 45 minutes the Cardinals tried to even up the score, but the attempt went wide to the left.
