Courtney Sengstock (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South) tried to get the equalizer with two consecutive attempts but the first was blocked by the Panthers defense and Kaitlyn Knetzke saved the succeeding attempt. Cali Havelka-Vanderplow (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale South) took had a chance before the half but she was unsuccessful.

Early in the second half of play, Sengstock had another chance but it went high right. The Panthers looked to double up the Flyers, but Chloe Cash missed wide right.

In the 72nd minute, Vanderplow was looking to net the equalizer, however, her attempt went straight into the hands of Knetzke. Ten minutes later, Sengstock missed to the left, closing the match.
