ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis University men's soccer team defeated Rockhurst in dominating fashion, 5-1, on Senior Day Sunday. Prior to the contest, Lewis Men's Soccer honored Jayson Iniguez (Crest Hill, Ill./Lockport Township), Jose Mendoza (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township), Seth Dilworth (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West), Matthew Beaulieu (South Elgin, Ill./St. Charles North), Zahkar Shkidchenko (Kiev, Ukraine/), Daniel Manger.

HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: Lewis 3, Rockhurst 0
- Rockhurst tried to score early in the third minute of the match but Doppelhofer saved it.
- Dilworth looked to break the scoreless tie in the 18th minute but Rockhurst's goalie saved it.
- Shkidchenko went on the attack in the 21st minute but his shot was saved.
- Perez broke through in the 26th minute and found the back of the net to score a goal.
- In the 33rd minute, Asore passed it into Perez for his second goal of the match.
- Carlback looked to triple the lead in the 44th minute but it was saved but then got right it back and recorded a goal in the 44th minute from the pass from Bogers.
Second Half: Lewis 2, Rockhurst 1
- Ibarra made it 4-0 in the 48th minute after receiving the ball from Kieldyk.
- Rockhurst looked to cut into the deficit in the 58th minute but Doppelhofer saved it.
- Beaulieu tried to make it 5-0 after going on an attack attempt in the 75th minute but it was saved.
- The Hawks broke through and found the back of the net in the 77th minute to make it 4-1 Lewis.
- Iniguez went on the attack in the 84th minute after receiving the ball but his shot was saved.
- Perez picked up a hat trick in the 86th minute by finding the back of the net after receiving the ball from Dilworth.
Final Score: Lewis 5, Rockhurst 1
