ROLLA, Mo. -- The Lewis University men's soccer team came out on top 4-3 in a high scoring matchup against Missouri S&T Friday (Oct. 21). Joram Bogers (Tilburg, Netherlands/Mill-Hill College), Justin Darlage (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West), Godwin Asore (Kumasi, Ghana/Putnam Science Academy), Mikey Revell (Largo, Maryland/Bishop McNamara) all scored goals in the victory.

HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: Missouri S&T 2, Lewis 2
- Missouri S&T looked to make it 1-0 in the 12th minute but Doppelhofer was there for the save.
- Matthew Beaulieu (South Elgin, Ill./St. Charles North) tried to break the scoreless tie a minute later but the S&T goalie saved it.
- Asore went on the attack in the 21st minute looking for a goal but the goalkeeper rejected it.
- The Miners wanted to make it 1-0 in the 26th minute but Doppelhofer nabbed it.
- Bogers was able to break through in the 30th minute and found the back of the net.
- Missouri S&T quickly tied it up in the 32nd minute to make it 1-1.
- The Miners was able to double their lead in the 36th minute and found the back of the net to extend the lead to 2-1.
- Darlage took advantage of a mistake by S&T and scored on a penalty kick in the 38th minute to it at 2-2.
Second Half: Lewis 2, Missouri S&T 1
- Asore gave Lewis a 3-2 lead in the 66th minute after he found the back of the net.
- S&T tried to tie it in the 71st minute but Doppelhofer was there for the save.
- Gorodnickis passed it into Revell as he found the back of the net to make it 4-2 in the 78th minute.
- The Miners cut into the deficit in the 80th minute which made it 4-3 Flyers.
- Dilworth tried to make it 5-3 late in the match but S&T saved it.
Final Score: Lewis 4, Missouri S&T 3
