ROLLA, Mo. -- The Lewis University women's soccer team got right back on track with a 2-0 victory on the road against Missouri S&T Friday (Oct. 21). Alex Dennis (Tinley Park, Ill./Victor J. Andrew) scored her first goal of the season while Cameron Sengstock (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South) added her ninth of the year.

HALF BREAKDOWN

- Faith Lewis (Corunna, Ind./DeKalb) looked to put Lewis on the scoreboard first in the 12th minute but her shot was saved.
- Missouri S&T went on an attack attempt in the 40th minute but Nielsen was right there to collect the save.
Second Half: Lewis 2, Missouri S&T 0
- Dennis had the first attack attempt for both teams in the 48th minute after receiving the ball from Pinto and found the back of the net for her first goal of the season.
- The Miners tried to get it right back a few minutes later in the 50th minute but Nielsen recorded the stop.
- Elisa Aguilar (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield East) looked to double the lead for the Flyers in the 51st but the opposing goalie was there for the save.
- Pinto tried to get a goal of her own in the 55th minute after assisting on one earlier but the Miners' goalie scooped it up.
- Hadzic found Sengstock in the 71st minute as the senior recorded her ninth goal of the season to double the Lewis lead to 2-0.
- Missouri S&T tried to cut the deficit in half in the 73rd minute but Nielsen saved it.
- Olivia Zediker (Rockford, Ill./Guilford) went on the attack in the 85th minute but S&T's goalie saved it.
- S&T had one more shot on goal attempt in the 87th minute but Nielsen recorded the save.
- Milazzo and Dennis recorded back-to-back shot on goal attempts in the 88th minute but both were saved.
