Lewis Men's Soccer Advances to GLVC Tournament Semifinals with 1-0 Victory Against Truman State Sunday

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis University men's soccer team advances to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Semifinals after a 1-0 quarterfinal win over Truman State Sunday (Oct. 30) evening at Lewis Stadium. The Flyers lone goal in the GLVC quarterfinal round came from Cristian Perez (Cicero, Ill./Morton East) at the 6:32 mark in the contest.

  • Perez started the game aggressive, attempting a shot just three minutes into the contest.
  • While his first try ended up being too far left, his second attempt three minutes later at the 6:32 deemed successful and Flyers scored their first and only goal of the game.
  • Truman State looked to tie it up on six separate occasions in the first half but three of those shots were blocked and the other three were off target.
