KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -- The Lewis University women's soccer team defeated Truman State, 1-0, at Bulldog Soccer Field Sunday (Oct. 9).
Cameron Sengstock (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South) scored her sixth goal of the season in the 69th minute which turned out to be the difference in the match.

HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: Lewis 0, Truman State 0
- Sengstock looked to take the early lead in the seventh minute but her shot was saved.
- Truman State had a scoring opportunity in the 13th minute but their shot was off target.
- Moments later in the 27th minute, the Bulldogs went on the attack and got a shot on goal attempt off but Nielsen saved it.
- Both teams were held scoreless at the halftime break.

- Sengstock recorded two shots in the 59th minute, looking to grab the lead but both were off target.
- A few moments later, Sengstock tried again in the 61st and 63rd minute but she was unable to find the back of the net.
- Lewis was able to break through in the 69th minute after Sengstock had a breakaway and scored her sixth goal of the season.
- TSU tried to quickly tie it in the 73rd minute but their shot was off target.
- The Bulldogs had another scoring chance this time in the 78th minute but it was offline.
- Late in the match, Truman State tried to get the equalizer in the 90th minute but it was also off target.
