The Flyers, under the direction of second-year head coach Raquel Vescovi, will be making their fifth trip to the NCAA Tournament in the last seven years.

Lewis is the eight seed and will face top seeded Wayne State next Monday (May 9) at 10 a.m. (CDT) at either The Peachtree Tennis Club or at the University of Detroit, depending on the weather. On the other side of the bracket, No. 4 Grand Valley State will play No. 5 Ferris State at 3 p.m. next Monday.

In the other Midwest Regional bracket, the University of Indianapolis will serve as host as the No. 2 seed with No. 7 seed Davenport, No. 3 seed McKendree and No. 6 seed Tiffin all traveling to Indianapolis.

A maximum of 48 teams will play a single-elimination tournament at 16 preliminary-round tournaments. There were 16 conferences that received automatic qualification, while the remaining 32 teams were selected on an at-large basis. Two teams from each region will advance to the 2022 NCAA DII Men's Tennis Championships May 18-22 at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla.

The Flyer enters the NCAA Tournament with a 14-8 record, while Wayne State is 21-4. Lewis lost to Southwest Baptist in the opening round of the GLVC Tournament. The Warriors claimed the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) regular season and postseason championships.
