ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) announced Wednesday (July 13) that eight members of the Lewis University women's bowling team earned All-Academic recognition for the 2021-22 school year. The Flyers also earned the team award.

The team award goes to all teams that earned a 3.2 GPA or better. The Flyers had a cumulative GPA of 3.6. It is the fourth straight year Lewis received the award. There were 47 schools overall which earned the award and the Flyers posted the 10
th highest GPA in the country.

For the individual award, you had to post a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher for the academic year. Those earning the award were
Amber-Grace Carroll (Belleville, Ill./Belleville East),
Kayla Dench (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield East),
DeAlani Fishbeck (Lawton, Okla./Lawton),
Kylie Johnson (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere North),
Savanna Jourdan (Oswego, ILL./Oswego),
Erica Lohr (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie),
Kelsey Olson (South Beloit, ILL./Hononegah) and
Jenna Sussenbach (Naperville, Ill./Plainfield North).

Lewis finished the season with a 49-43 record and a No. 20 ranking in the country with a No. 4 ranking in the Division II/III poll.
