Lewis Men's Soccer Drops Non Conference Tilt Against Parkside Sunday

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Lewis University men's soccer team lost a non-conference match up, 2-0, against Parkside Sunday (August 28) at Wood Road Field.

FIRST HALF: Parkside 1, Lewis 0
  • Parkside had a few shot attempts in the early going but they were off target.
  • The Rangers broke through in the 17th minute as Mike Howell found the back of the net.
  • Lewis looked to respond in the 21st minute as Arturs Gorodnickis (Riga, Latvia/Riga) (Riga, Latvia/Riga) had an attacking chance but his shot was off target.
SECOND HALF: Parkside 1, Lewis 0
  • Parkside wasted no time to start the second save as in the 45th minute the Rangers had a shot attempt that was saved by Sebastian Doppelhofer (Liebmannweg, Austria/).
  • The Rangers quickly went on the attack in the 49th minute and this time they found the back of the net as Edgar Heridia made it 2-0 with his goal.
  • Cristian Perez (Cicero, Ill./Morton East) looked to cut the lead in half but his shot missed in the 51st minute.
  • Lewis had another scoring chance in the 78th minute by Stefan Ziermann (Vienna, Austria/University of Economics) but his shot was off target.
