Mariana Pinto (Rockford, Ill./Guilford),

HALF BREAKDOWN
FIRST HALF: Lewis 0, Purdue Northwest 0
- The Flyers dominated the possession time early and had early goal scoring opportunities in the 4th and 14th minute on shots by Sengstock.
- The Flyer's had another chance in the 37th minute on a shot by Allie Lankowicz (Mishawaka, Ind./Penn) from just outside of the box that was saved by Bridget Grady of Purdue Northwest.
- The final scoring opportunity of the first half came in the 43rd minute on a shot by Pinto but Lewis was once again denied by Grady.
SECOND HALF: Lewis 3, Purdue Northwest 0
- Lewis started the second half hot with smothering defensive pressure. This lead to Pinto scoring her first goal of the season in the 54th minute on an assist from Faith Lewis (Corunna, Ind./DeKalb).
- Flyer leading goal scorer Aguilar then extended the lead 2-0 in the 63rd minute on a beautiful cross from Brooke Harris (Highland, N.Y./Highland) into the box.
- Lewis finally put the nail in the coffin to secure their first win of the 2022 campaign as Sengstock was able to find the back of the net for her first goal on the year in the 66th minute.
