HALF BREAKDOWN
FIRST HALF: Lewis 0, UMSL 0
- Neither was able to score a goal, but Lewis attempted two shots in the first half while UMSL attempted four shots.
- Doppelhofer had three of four saves in the first half.
- Missouri-St. Louis went on the attack in the sixth minute but Doppelhofer was there for the save.
- The Tritons had another scoring chance in the 14th minute but that one was also saved.
- Lewis looked to strike first in the 30th minute as Beaulieu went on the attack but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper.
- UMSL had the last shot on goal attempt in the 38th minute but Doppelhofer snagged it.
SECOND HALF: UMSL 1, Lewis 0
- Arman Kovac looked to put UMSL on the scoreboard but his shot was saved but he collected his own rebound.
- Kovac scored the lone goal of the game off the rebound for Missouri-St. Louis at the 51st minute.
- Beaulieu looked to knot the game up at 1-1 in the 64th minute but his shot was saved.
- Moments later in the 68th minute Beaulieu had a penalty kick which was also scooped up by the Tritons' goalkeeper.
- Shkidchenko looked to tie the match in the 74th minute but it was saved.
- Late in the match, Arturs Gorodnickis (Riga, Latvia/Riga) recorded two shot on goal attempts in the 88th and 89th minutes however they were picked up by UMSL's goalkeeper.
- Lewis attempted 10 shots in the second period but to no avail as UMSL's goal keeper Austin Reis recorded six saves.
