LEBANON, Ill. - The Lewis University women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to McKendree Friday (Sept. 16) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest at Leemon Field. Melissa Hadzic scored a goal for the Flyers in defeat.

HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: McKendree 1, Lewis 0
- The first two shots on goal came from McKendree, the first in the 24th minute and the second in the 26th minute, but both were saved by Nielsen.
- The Bearcats got on the board at the 40:21 mark on a goal by Katie Spotanski.
Second Half: Lewis 1, McKendree 1
- Nielsen stopped a quick Bearcat attack with a save in the first minute of the half.
- Lewis came right back a half minute later with a goal by Hadzic, assisted by Pinto at the 46:23 mark to tie the game.
- Anna Stiffler regained the lead for McKendree at the 66:47 mark.
- The Flyers got one more shot on goal by Cosa Bella Milazzo (Orland Park, Ill./Victor J. Andrew) in the 74th minute, but her shot in the top left corner was saved.
Final Score: McKendree 2, Lewis 1
