- Maryville looked to score early with an attack attempt in the 10th minute but Nielsen saved it.
- The Saints had another scoring opportunity a minute late but it was saved as well.
- Pinto tried to end the scoreless tie in the 16th minute but her shot went wide.
- Cameron Sengstock (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South) had a scoring opportunity in the 23rd minute but it went wide.
- A few minutes later, Pinto tried again in the 27th but the shot was saved.
- Krupp looked to end the scoreless tie a minute later but Maryville's goalkeeper saved it.
- The Saints looked to go into the half with the lead but their shot attempt in the 43rd minute was off target.

- MU went on the attack early to start the second half but their shot attempt was saved.
- A few minutes later, Maryville was unable to convert their shot attempt.
- Moments later, Faith Lewis (Corunna, Ind./DeKalb) tried to end the drought but the shot went wide.
- Both teams traded shot attempts the rest of the way but none were able to find the back of the net.
