ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- The Lewis University men's soccer team had a goal from 
Cristian Perez (Cicero, Ill./Morton East) and that is all the Flyers needed as they defeated the University of Indianapolis, 1-0, Sunday (Sept. 25).

HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: Lewis 1, Indianapolis 0
	- The Greyhounds tried to strike first in the 11th minute but the shot was offline.
 
	- A few minutes later, Shkidchenko found Cristian Perez (Cicero, Ill./Morton East) on the right side of the net and scored a goal to make it 1-0 Flyers in the 14th minute.
 
	- Perez wasted no time trying to quickly made it 2-0 but his shot was off target.
 
	- Beaulieu tried to double the lead as well but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper.
 
	- A few minutes later, Beaulieu tried again with two straight shots but was unable to find the back of the net.
 
	- Shkidchenko had a shot attempt that was off target in the 25th minute.
 
	- Charles Carlback (Karlskrona, Sweden/FK Karlskrona) looked to double the lead in the 28th minute but his shot went above the net.
 
	- Indianapolis tried three shots in a five minute span but all of them were off target.
 
	- Right before the half, the Greyhounds went on the attack but their shot attempt saved by Doppelhofer.
 
Second Half: Indianapolis 0, Lewis 0
	- Indianapolis had the first shot attempt of the second half in the 59th minute but it was off target.
 
	- The Greyhounds tried to even it up in the 60th minute with Jakob David recording two shot attempts on goal but Doppelhofer saved both.
 
	- Shkidchenko went on the attack in the 73rd minute but his shot was off target.
 
	- Lewis tried to double the lead again in the 81st minute as Beaulieu and Arturs Gorodnickis (Riga, Latvia/Riga) recorded shot attempts one after another but the Indianapolis goalie was there for saves.
 
	- The Greyhounds had one more shot attempt in the 82nd but it went off target.
