The match started with a series of errors, with Van Loo recording the first kill of the match to make the score 5-2 Lewis. Two more points for the Flyers made it a 4-0 run and prompted a timeout by UIndy.

The Greyhounds took a point out of the timeout, but Lewis then charged ahead with a 7-1 run behind four kills. After another single point for UIndy, the Flyers secured a 3-0 push with two kills by Schlechte.

Lewis had pushed the lead to 22-8 before UIndy snared its only three-point run of the set to trim the deficit to 11. The Flyers finished the set by taking three of the last four points.

Set 2: UIndy 25, Lewis 19
After a 3-1 start to the second frame for the Greyhounds, Lewis took a 3-0 run to grab the lead. After a bit of back-and-forth, UIndy took the lead back with a 3-0 run of its own.

The set stayed tight until the Greyhounds went on another 3-0 burst to take a 14-11 advantage. Later, a 5-1 push by UIndy with three kills made it 19-14 Greyhounds.

Play went back-and-forth from there, with the Greyhounds earning the only back-to-back points the rest of the set. UIndy finished off the set with a kill.
