COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Lewis University men's basketball team suffered a 71-66 setback on the road against Tiffin at Ohio Dominican Saturday.

HALF SUMMARY
FIRST HALF: Tiffin 33, Lewis 31
Beau Frericks (Cary, Ill./Cary Grove) started the game with a three-pointer before Tiffin responded with seven straight points for a 7-3 lead. Moments later, the Dragons extended its lead out to 20-13 with 11 minutes to play in the half.
Lewis responded with back-to-back baskets from Warden and Solomon to cut it down to three (20-17). Tiffin knocked down a three-pointer to make it 23-17 with 8:27 left.
Stroud shifted momentum back to the Flyers side after back-to-back buckets then Solomon gave Lewis a 24-23 lead. TU scored five unanswered to regain the lead.
Stroud and Renfro hit back-to-back layups to tie it at 28-all with 3:24 before the break.
Devon Vanderheydt (Washington, Ill./Washington) had a basket late in the half before Tiffin grabbed the lead right before the half.
SECOND HALF: Tiffin 38, Lewis 35
Both teams traded layups to start the second half before Tiffin jumped out to a 41-38 lead. Lewis responded and regained the lead with back-to-back layups from Kirciman and Vanderheydt.
Lewis went on a 9-3 run in three minutes after a layup from Hill made it 51-45 with 10:39 left in the game. Moments later, Hill converted on a three-point play to give the Flyers a 54-47 lead with 9:38 to play.
The Dragons cut the deficit down to one after going on a 8-2 run with 7:41 remaining. Vanderheydt and Solomon were able to answer with back-to-back baskets for Lewis to extend it out to 60-57 with under five minutes left in the contest.
Tiffin took control of the game and essentially put it away after going on a 12-4 run the next four minutes to grab a 69-64 lead. The Dragons ended up winning 71-66 avoiding a late push from Lewis.
