AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- The Lewis University baseball team dropped their contest to Winona State Friday (March 10) 6-3 at Lake Myrtle Park.

SUMMARY
Winona State scored the first three runs of the game which came in the third and fifth inning to give the Warriors a 3-0 lead.
The Flyers got one back in the bottom of the fifth after
Chris McDevitt (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) connected on his third home run of the season making it 3-1.
Lewis tied it 3-3 in the sixth after
Kevin Barry (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin) ripped a RBI double and
Julian Everett (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln Way East) hit a RBI single.
WSU responded in the eighth inning after driving in a pair of runs to give the Warriors a 5-3 advantage. The Warriors scored the final run of the contest after scoring in the top of the ninth making it 6-3.
Lewis starting pitcher
Jake Karaba (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) earned no-decision after going seven innings, giving up six hits, allowing three runs (none earned), walking none and striking out 12.
