ALAMOSA, Colo. -- The Lewis University women's lacrosse team picked up an 11-7 victory against Fort Lewis College Tuesday (March 7) at Adams State University.

QUARTER BREAKDOWN
FIRST QUARTER: Lewis 3, Fort Lewis 2
- Fort Lewis scored the first two goals of the contest in the first five minutes to make it 2-0.
- Lewis bounced back with three unanswered goals to take a 3-2 lead in the next five minute stretch.
- Daniella Winterlik (Port Coquitlam, British Columbua, Canada/Terry Fox) found Amelia Proczyk for her second goal of the season to make it 2-1.
- Sydney Able (Aurora, CO/Regis Jesuit) recorded her third goal of the year after Proczyk found her for the assist to tie it at 2-2.
- Heidi Sweeney (New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada/New Westminster) gave Lewis a 3-2 lead with 4:49 left in the first quarter after receiving the ball from Proczyk.
SECOND QUARTER: Lewis 3, Fort Lewis 0
- Kaitlyn Palmer (Springfield, MO/Glendale) and Lewis held the Skyhawks off the scoreboard after Fort Lewis recorded three shots, including two on goal.
- Alyssa Davidson (Geneva, IL/Geneva) doubled the Flyers lead for her fifth goal of the season from the pass from Winterlik.
- Nearly two and 1/2 minutes later, Davidson picked up her second goal of the match, making it 5-2.
- Able extended the Flyers lead to 6-2 after finding the back of the net off the pass from Davidson.
THIRD QUARTER: Lewis 3, Fort Lewis 3
- Fort Lewis looked to get back in the match after recording a goal in the first two minutes.
- The Flyers responded with three straight goals for the second time in the match to grab a 9-3 lead.
- Carlie Serritella (Chicago, IL/Resurrection) scored her first goal of the match as Proczyk picked up her third assist of the contest making it 7-3.
- Not even 20 seconds later, Serritella was able to find Paige Bracey (Apex, NC/Apex) for the goal to extend it out to 8-3 Flyers.
- Meltonique Bowen (Pembroke Pines, FL/Flanagan) added her name in the scoresheet as she recorded her third goal of the season, making it 9-3.
- Fort Lewis closed out the third quarter with a pair of goals to it 9-5 Flyers.
FOURTH QUARTER: Lewis 2, Fort Lewis 2
- Davidson recorded her second assist of the match after finding Sweeney, who found the back of the net.
- The Skyhawks got one back exactly four minutes later to make it 10-6.
- Bracey scored her second goal of the match to extend the Flyers' lead to 11-6.
- Fort Lewis had the final goal of the contest with 3:17 left in the match.
FINAL SCORE: Lewis 11, Fort Lewis 7
