HAMMOND, Ind. - The Lewis University baseball team's win streak was snapped at nine games with a 13-4 loss to Purdue Northwest Tuesday (April 18).

Kevin Barry (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin) gave Lewis a first inning lead with a two-run home run, scoring
Michael Alt (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly). Purdue Northwest came back in the third inning with a two-run blast two even the score at 2-2.

The Pride tallied a run in the sixth to cut the deficit to a run and then posted nine runs in the seventh to take control of the game. They added one more in the eighth for the final score.
Alt went 3-for-4 at the plate, while Keaty added a 2-for-3 performance.
Ryan Manikowski (New Lenox, Ill./Providence)Â pitched three innings in relief, allowing one earned run, striking out four.Â
