ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Lewis University baseball team beat Purdue Northwest 5-1 Tuesday (April 25) in a nonconference game at Brennan Field.

SUMMARY
Cain Headrick (Custer Park, Ill./Providence Catholic) started the scoring in the bottom of the first with a double down the left field line, scoring Kevin Barry (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin) and Michael Alt (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly). 

The Pride came back with a run in the top of the third inning to make it a 2-1 game before a Patrick Keaty (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) walk scored Tony Fleischauer (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic) and a wild pitch scored Jason Krol (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) to make it 4-1.

In the seventh inning Krol grounded out on an bunt, scoring Barry to make it 5-1 for the final.

Nick Huisman (Westmont, Ill./Timothy Christian) picked up the win, allowing one hit in 3.1 innings. Alt, Barry and Headrick had two hits each to lead the offense.
