MARION, Ill. – The No. 4 seed Lewis University baseball team fell to No. 5 seed Indianapolis 3-1 Thursday (May 11) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament contest at Mountain Dew Park.

SUMMARY
The Flyers loaded the bases in the bottom of the third inning on a pair of singles and a walk. However, a fly out to right field ended the inning.
Indianapolis scored first in the top of the fourth on a bases loaded walk to make it 1-0. A double in the top of the eighth inning scored two more runs, making it a 3-0 Greyhound lead.

Chris McDevitt (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) walked with one out. After a fly out,
Patrick Keaty (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) doubled to score McDevitt and put the Flyers on the board and bring the tying run to the plate. A fly out to center field ended the game.
Michael Alt (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) had two hits to lead the Flyer offense.
Jake Karaba (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) (7-2) went five innings, allowing one run on six hits, striking out 10.
Matt Piento (Indian Head Park, Ill./Lyons) allowed two runs on three hits in four innings of relief.
