ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Lewis University men's soccer team fell to Wisconsin Parkside 2-1 Sunday (Sept. 3) in a nonconference match at Lewis Stadium. All three goals were scored in the first half of the contest.

HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: The Flyers came out firing with the first four shots of the game, finding the back of the net on the fourth shot on a goal from Asore at the 11:50 mark.Â
Parkside came right back and scored on its first shot of the game at the 13:06 mark on a goal from Mario Bolado. The Rangers kept the pressure on, registering three shots, two on goal, and three corner kicks over the next 15 minutes.
It was in the 31st minute when the Rangers broke the tie on a goal from Alejandro Martinez.
Second Half: Lewis had an early rush again to start the second half with three shots in the first 15 minutes, including one on goal from Perez, but the Flyers were held off the scoreboard.Â
The Flyers had a late rush in the final 30 seconds, but a shot by Bogers was turned away and a final shot in the closing seconds by Perez missed the goal.
